The story
Atlantic County has a townhome community selling in the middle of a town rather than out on a road. Lennar lists West End in Hammonton as actively selling, and the product is three story townhomes on a single plan, the Chase: three bedrooms, two full baths and a half bath, a one car garage, and a recreation room on the ground floor with the main living space above it. The builder's own page lists 72 homesites.
The part worth knowing before you drive out is that you do not have to book. The Welcome Home Center at 101 West End Avenue posts hours seven days a week, ten to six with Wednesday running to seven, and the page attaches no appointment requirement to any of them. That is not how most of these work. Several of the communities we have looked at this month post hours and then say, further down the same page, that visits are by appointment only.
Where it sits is most of the pitch. The builder puts it within walking distance of Hammonton's dining and entertainment, with the NJ Transit and Amtrak station just under a mile away and both Philadelphia and the shore under an hour. Worth being clear that those are things nearby rather than things the community owns: the page claims no pool, no clubhouse and no trails, and we are not going to promote a town's amenities into a community's. Dues are published on the page.
A townhome in a walkable town center is a particular kind of buy, and it suits a particular kind of buyer. You trade the yard and some of the quiet for being able to leave the car where it is. If the train is why you are looking at Hammonton at all, that trade is most of the decision. Prices and what is available move, and the builder publishes the current ones on its own page. Whether new construction or a resale in the same town fits better is worth talking through first.

Our take
Many new communities show homes by appointment only, so posted walk-in hours mean you can see the model unannounced. If you are looking in Atlantic County, walk it on your schedule and ask which finishes are in the base price.
