Guide

Builders buy land across all eight counties South Jersey New Construction covers: Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean and Salem. Some towns come up more often than others, and they are listed below by county.

In Cumberland and Salem counties, the towns that come up most often are Vineland, Millville, Bridgeton, Deerfield, Hopewell, Stow Creek, Lawrence, Alloway, Elmer, Upper Pittsgrove and Pilesgrove. In Gloucester County, they are Elk, Deptford, Monroe, Logan, Newfield, Franklinville and Glassboro.

In Atlantic and Camden counties, they are Galloway, Egg Harbor City, Absecon, Mays Landing, Gloucester Township, Somerdale and Magnolia. In Burlington, Cape May and Ocean counties, they are Mount Holly, Medford, Evesham, Cape May Court House, Middle Township, Dennis, Toms River, Lacey and Stafford.

If your town is not on the list, a builder may still be interested in your land. A builder weighs what the land could become and what the town would allow there, so a lot or a few acres outside these towns is still worth a conversation.

South Jersey New Construction does not buy land itself. We connect owners with the builders who do, and you usually do not need to clear the land or get town approval before you talk to a builder.

The towns listed are the ones that come up most often, not the only ones. What a town will allow on the land is not final until its board decides. Written by Justin Kelly, NJ Real Estate Broker-Salesperson. More at South Jersey New Construction.
