A developer wants to turn one lot at 397 S. First Road into 12 single-family homesites, reached by a new street off Grand Street.

The story
Total Holdings has asked Hammonton's Joint Land Use Board to let it split the property into 12 lots, with a house planned on each. The application was on the board's September 16 agenda.
The street would end in a cul-de-sac toward First Road. Five structures standing there now would be removed. The developer would put in rainwater drainage and utilities for the houses, plus curbs, sidewalks, lighting and landscaping.
The site is in the town's R-3 residential zone. The agenda shows the hearing was scheduled, not how the board ruled. The board's decision will be in its meeting minutes once the board approves them.
