What was reported

  • Brigantine's Planning Board approved splitting one West Brigantine Avenue property into three lots
  • Two lots get a three-story single-family home each, and the third gets a two-story commercial building

The story

Brigantine's Planning Board has approved a plan to split the property at 900 to 912 West Brigantine Avenue into three lots. The board heard the application on June 24 and adopted its written resolution on July 22.

Two of the new lots are for single-family homes, and the plan puts a three-story home on each. The third lot is for commercial use only, with a two-story commercial building.

The board made exceptions to the zoning rules so two lots can be used for single-family homes and the third for commercial use only. It also allowed exceptions on how close the buildings sit to the property lines, lot size, building height, how much of each lot is built on, and parking on the commercial lot.

Haven Homes Builders, LLC applied for the approval, and its attorneys filed the public notice of the decision. The notice names no prices or construction schedule.

The approval is recorded in a public notice of the board's July 22, 2026 resolution. Plans, permits and timing can change. Written by Justin Kelly, NJ Real Estate Broker-Salesperson, from the Brigantine Planning Board decision notice.
