The project
A draft ordinance, not yet introduced, that would prohibit data centers in all zoning districts within the Township. Franklin and Hamilton Townships have already adopted similar bans (franklin-data-centre-prohibition-ordinance, hamilton-data-centre-prohibition-ordinance); Salem City has one pending (salem-city-data-centre-prohibition-ordinance).
What usually comes next
The board usually hears the application at a public meeting. The hearing can be moved to a later date.
Each step is our own summary of a public board or agency document, linked where the document is online. A project's status can change at the next meeting. General information, not legal advice.
