The project
A four-storey building of 300 residential units on about seven acres at the corner of East Cohawkin Road and County House Road (County Route 667), bounded by Sesame Street to the north. The 300 breaks down in the minutes as 150 assisted living beds, 100 affordable housing apartments and 50 market-rate apartments with a marketing priority for veterans, with roughly 20 skilled nursing beds included when needed, and 352 car parking spaces. Amenities described to the board included a lobby and lounge, pharmacy, beauty and barber shop, bank, fitness centre, worship facility, gardening plots and a library. The board granted preliminary and final major site plan approval, subject to State, County and professional review conditions.
